Saint Joseph Center of Hope Numbers Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan successfully opened the doors of the fourth engagement center within the CMHPSM region on November 21, 2018 with the support of CMHPSM, ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital, Community Foundation of Monroe County, St. John’s Parish and AOD, Joe Bellino, State Representative and several other communities supports.

This table shows overdose Emergency Department (ED) visit rates for health departments, and in 2017, Monroe County ranked 4th. The overdose ED visit rate for Monroe County was 82.64 in 2017, with 123.5 total visits. The opioid task force meets monthly at the Monroe County Health Department.
According to the Michigan Overdose Data to Action (MODA) Team, the overall rate of overdose deaths has risen in the state of Michigan by 330 from 2019 to 2020. Most recent annual data reported for 2020 shows 2,684 fatal overdoses in Michigan.
